small office
in Tripoli contains an education and training
information point
for Libyans who wish to study in Britain.

LIBYANS
The
British
Chevening Scholarships, funded by the Foreign and
Commonwealth
Office, are prestigious awards enabling overseas
students to study
in the United Kingdom. The scholarships are offered in
more than
150 countries and give talented graduates and young
professionals
the opportunity to become familiar with the UK and gain
skills
which will benefit their countries.
The
British
Embassy in Tripoli is offering a limited number of
Chevening scholarships
for Libyan nationals to undertake postgraduate study in
the UK
during the academic year 2003/2004. The scheme is
managed by the
British Council in Tripoli.

offer the IELTS English language exam in Tripoli. But
prospective
candidates should note that capacity is currently
limited and
exam dates are booked up some time in advance. Anyone

The MBI
Trust at
SOAS Scholarship Programme
The MBI Trust at SOAS was
founded
in January 2000, through the generosity of its patron
Sheikh Mohamed
Bin Issa Al Jaber.
The purpose of theTrust
is to develop
and administer a scholarship programme which will enable
individuals
from the Arab world to undertake a Masters degree at one
of three
academic institutions in the United Kingdom.
