I hold a non-national or refugee
travel document. Do I need a visa_
The holder of a refugee travel document
issued by the UK does not need a visa. The holder of a 1951 or 1946
Convention refugee travel document does not need a visa for a visit
of up to three months if the document is issued by one of these
countries: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland,
Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway,
Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland. The holder of any other non-national
or refugee travel document requires a visa to enter the UK.
Do I need a visa if I am a seaman
going to join a ship_
A seaman travelling on duty who is
a visa national (i.e. would normally require a visa to visit the
UK) does not need a visa if his document is issued by one of these
countries: Algeria, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize,
Bulgaria, Cameroon, Canada, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Djibouti,
Dominica, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau,
Guyana, Honduras, Iceland, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liberia,
Luxembourg, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Norway, Panama, Poland, Portugal,
Romania, Seychelles, Solomon Islands, Spain, Sri Lanka, St Lucia,
Sweden, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uruguay. You do not need to be a national
of the country which issued your seaman’s document.

Do I need a visa_
Aircrew who are visa nationals do
not need a visa if they arrive and leave as aircrew within seven
days
I am exempt from UK immigration
control. Do I need a visa_
A visa national who is exempt from
UK immigration control does not need a visa. But diplomats who are
visa nationals posted to the UK will need a visa for their first
arrival in the UK.
