The Visa Section aims to provide an efficient and effective visa service by:

• issuing visas quickly to genuine visitors, business people, students and others who qualify under British law (the Immigration Rules),
  
  
• deciding applications for those wishing to settle in the UK,
  
  
• preventing entry to the UK of those who are ineligible
